Generally, cleaning each room takes around 20 minutes. However, this time can vary depending on several factors, including the amount of furniture that needs to be moved, the extent of soil in the carpet, and any additional spot removal treatments required.

As your carpet dries, any bubbles or ripples should start to flatten. Once completely dry, these should no longer be visible. This situation often means the carpet needs re-stretching before cleaning. Yes, we move furniture at no extra charge, and our team is professionally trained to handle your belongings. After cleaning, we'll place the furniture back in its original position, using protective padding as necessary. We recommend removing any items such as electronics, plants, lamps, and knick-knacks beforehand. While we can move most furniture, there are certain items we will not move, including pianos, electronics, China cabinets, beds, dressers with mirrors, and pool tables.

An area is typically defined as a room up to 300 square feet (15 x 20). A combined living room/dining room counts as two areas. Rooms over 300 square feet but under 600 square feet are also priced as two areas. Non-standard spaces like bathrooms, hallways, landings, and walk-in closets are priced separately, usually at a lower rate. Room size definitions may vary by location.

Encapsulation cleaning refers to a chemical process that dirt particles undergo when acrylic polymers encapsulate the dirt, isolating it from the carpet fibers and making it vulnerable to a dry vacuum. There are many different cleaning machines that utilize encapsulation technology.
Encapping is a “very low moisture” (VLM) type of cleaning using a special encapsulating cleaner that features polymers to encapsulate and crystallize stains and dirt for immediate vacuuming. These polymers act like small sponges.
While steam cleaning can be an effective method for cleaning carpets, it may not be the best solution for removing pet urine stains and odors. Steam cleaning can actually set the urine odor and stain into the carpet fibers if not properly treated beforehand. It's recommended to first address the urine stain and odor using appropriate cleaning solutions and methods, such as blotting, applying specialized pet stain removers, and allowing the carpet to thoroughly dry. Once the urine has been adequately treated, you can then consider steam cleaning the carpet to help maintain overall cleanliness.
We often receive questions about steam cleaning carpet. At SunCal Carpet Clean we do not steam clean carpet.
